Long Beach Harbor includes Alamitos Bay Marina, Long Beach Shoreline Marina (Downtown Marina), and Rainbow Harbor / Rainbow Marina. Boats are protected by a series of offshore breakwaters and by a natural south-facing bay.
Winds consistently average between 8-12mph, which makes for a great sailing location.
The harbor hosts Marina Sailing Charters and the Alamitos Bay, Long Beach, Little Ships Fleet, Seal Beach, and Shoreline Yacht Clubs. This location also hosts the Congressional Cup, Transpac and Olympic trial races.
